Xavier Desmaret, head of Outremer calls it the WAF-factor (Women Acceptance Factor) that sets this model apart from older models. Famed interior designer Frank Darnet was commissioned to create an environment of soothing colors and wooden accents without adding to the weight of the boat. Unlike previous models the Outremer 49 catamaran is a fast cruising yacht that shows interior refinements and innovative features that previous models lacked.
Payload has increased as well over the older 45 and this catamaran would be an ideal choice for long swift passages in the open ocean. Twin helm-seats with tiller steering will remind sailors of spirited beach cat like steering and the interior has a forward facing navigation station with a 360 degree view. In short - Outremer has re-invented itself and came out with another winner.
